Vented Chest Seal

VENTED CHEST SEAL

Treat an open chest wound. Penetrations into the chest can lead to tension pneumothorax. Chest Seals are designed with a medical-grade hydrogel adhesive that is strong enough to adhere to skin exposed to blood, sweat, hair, sand, or water.

• Dry and clean the wound as much as possible with the gauze.
• Open the package and remove the protective liner.
• Place the seal on the wound with the adhesive facing down against the skin.
• Press the seal to ensure an occlusive seal.

Occlusive: Closing an opening (a wound) in such a way that no air or bacteria can enter.
